ความยืดหยุ่นสูง                                                             
โครงสร้างตาข่าย ซึ่งตีเกลียวคู่ ด้วยลวดเหล็ก  และ ถักเป็นรูปหกเหลี่ยม สามารถรองรับการทรุดตัวของดิน ซึ่งเปลี่ยนแปลงไปตามสภาพแวดล้อม โดยไม่เกิดการแตกร้าว  หรือ พังทลาย ของโครงสร้างรูปกล่องเกเบี้ยน

โครงสร้างกล่องเกเบี้ยน สามารถให้น้ำซึมผ่าน ช่องว่างของหินที่บรรจุ อยู่ในกล่อง ช่วยป้องกัน  การก่อตัว ของแรงดินที่ กระทำหลังโครงสร้าง และ น้ำซึมผ่านได้ตลอด  โดยไม่ต้องสร้างระบบท่อระบายน้ำ                                                                           

ความทนทานสูง                                                 
ลวดเหล็กเคลือบสังกะสี   ที่นำมาใช้ผลิต กล่องเกเบี้ยน   และ กล่องเมทเทรส เป็นลวดเคลือบหนาพิเศษ ตามมาตรฐานสากล สามารถทนทานต่อการเกิดสนิมเป็นระยะเวลานานและถ้ามีการหุ้มวัสดุพีวีซีเพิ่มอีกชั้นหนึ่ง จะยิ่งป้องกันการกัดกร่อนทางทะเลของสารเคมี และ น้ำทะเลได้ดียิ่งขึ้น  เหมาะสมกับงานชายฝั่งทะเล  หรือ ที่มีมลภาวะสูง

การประกอบ  รูปกล่อง ที่ง่าย  โดยสามารถใช้ แรงงานทั่วไปได้และไม่ต้องใช้ การเตรียมงานก่อสร้าง  หรือการบำรุงรักษาหลังติดตั้ง โครงสร้างกล่องแล้ว   ทำให้การก่อสร้างเป็นไปได้อย่างรวดเร็ว

PERMEABILITY                                                             
The gabion   struction   allows   water to   pass   through. Hydrostatie pressure does not develop behind the retaining wall and the structure is continuously drained.                                                                         

DURABILITY                                     
Heavy galvanized wire mesh is highly resistant to corrosion. The wire mesh can also additionally coated with a continuous PVC sleeve. This  provide  a  complete  protection  against possible  corrosion  suitable  for  use in  marine  or  polluted environments.                                                                                                         

ECONOMY                                       
Construction is simple and assembly at site, unskilled labor used. No   structural    maintenance   is   needed   and    foundation is usually unnecessary.
